Saying Farewell to a Legend

I’ve been so many places, I’ve seen so many things
But none quite so lovely as you
More beautiful than the Mona Lisa
Worth more than gold
And my eyes have the pleasure to behold

You’re my latest and my greatest
My latest, my greatest inspiration

Those are the words that classic songs are made of. Candles lit, chilled bottle of champagne, a warm fire,a cozy rug and a melody filling the room sets the scene for an amazing evening. I'm blessed and thankful that I'm the youngest of four with a 10 year difference so I was exposed to MUSIC at an early age.

Teddy P you'll be missed. Your music will live on.

Who Dat? We Dat!!

As a proud New Orleanian I've embraced my city the good, the bad and the ugly. New Orleans is known for its traditions you can bet that 80% of the natives have some type of beans and rice on mondays, seafood on fridays, at least one slice of king cake during carnival and their televisions tuned into a Saints game during football season. This year The New Orleans Saints have had an exceptional season, the best theyve ever had and as we approach our first playoff game we're hoping that they go all the way. The Who Dat Nation as we are called are geared up to take that drive to Miami in February. Real Saints fans have had Superbowl hopes since the team was 5-N.O., every week a new saying emerged as the Who Dat Nation grew. To the Boys in black and gold...we support you...we're proud of you, proud to wear the jerseys, fitted caps, socks, shirts, aprons and the Fleur De Lis. We Salute you!

S.O.S. Haiti

Tuesday January 12, 2010 a 7.0 earthquake hit a recovering Haiti, toppling buildings, destroying schools, homes, churches and government buildings. Striking only 16 kilometers from Port-Au-Prince the cries from under the rubbish rang thru the streets. The death toll rising as each stone is turned and will continue thru the night.

Wyclef, who is Haitian, put out the word that we can help. If you text YELE to 501501on your mobile phone, you will donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund. The $5 will be charged to your monthly bill. You can get more information about the foundation by visiting the website HERE . FYI: If you can buy a ringtone, callback tone, or video game for your celly once or twice a month, you can definitely assist in the relief efforts of HAITI!

Monday Blues

Sunday nights battle of the sinuses resulted in a fail for me. Ranting on Twitter about how unfair it is that I had to spend the day on the couch consumed me. Hot bubble bath, followed by some medication created the perfect platform for sleep...well thats what I thought. I tossed and turned and finally looked at the time and the numbers 2:00am stared back at me. Ahh oh well I only have to be up for work at 7:30am. So after I dismiss my alarm and go back to sleep reality sets in and I hop up, shower, dress and get ready to get the day rolling. I never expect much on Mondays other than the hustle and bustle from the dedicated workers at my office. Log In to the PC, pull up mediatakeout.com read the latest gossip, rinse and repeat for my other news and gossip sites. The day seems to be dragging along with 1 case on the docket this afternoon. I cant say that I'm upset about that I'm happy to be employed, even happier that I work indoors where I'm sheltered from the cold and I have access to the internet. I guess my Monday wasnt as blue as it couldve been.
